Guest Information

Checkout and Settlement of Accounts

Normal check out time is 10:00am and check in time starts from 1130am. Should you wish extend these times, please inquire at the reception. We will try our best to accommodate late checkouts. Guests are reminded to clear their accounts in good time before their departure to avoid last minute rush.

Children and Baby Cots

Baby cots are available upon request. Should you require one please contact the reception. Parents are kindly requested to ensure that their children are kept under their care all the times, especially when by the swimming pool.

Conference Facilities

We have a conference room with a capacity of 40 pax. Please book in advance in order to secure the conference facility for your function.

Credit Cards

We accept Visa and Master Cards.

Drinking Water

We provide one 500ml bottle of drinking water per day per guest. We recommend you do not drink the tap water.

Forex Bureau

A Forex service buys and sells major foreign currencies such as American dollars, UK pounds, Euros and Kenya shillings.

Early Morning Calls

Visa and Master cards accepted subject to limits specified by credit card companies. We regret that cash cannot be advanced from a credit card.

Fuel Station

If you would like an early morning wake up call, please inform the restaurant supervisor/waiter at dinner time or contact the receptionist on duty.

Electricity Supply

We run on generator when the main power supply fails. For foreign appliances, please note the power is at 240 volts.

Electricity supply is available as follows:

  • Morning      05.30 hours – 07.30 hours
  • Evening      18.30 hours – 22.30 hours

Should you require Electricity outside these hours for medical reasons or any unforeseen emergencies, kindly inform the General Manager or a member of the camp staff.

Hot Water

Water is heated using Solar Power, and is available throughout the lodge.

Fire & Safety Information

Smoking is not allowed inside the rooms/tents. You can smoke on the verandah of your room/ tent. In the unlikely event of fire please evacuate your tent leaving your belongings behind, walk calmly and quickly to the fire assembly point situated at the main car park.

Foreign Currency & Travellers Cheques

Acceptable foreign currency and travelers cheques can be exchanged at the reception, from 0700hrs – 2130hrs. We require your passport details when changing traveler’s cheques. The current rates of exchange are available at the reception.

Gratuities

There is a “tip box” at the reception to benefit all staff including the back of the house staff. Thank you for acknowledging our staff’s excellent service. Without them, we would not be able to run a wonderful facility.

Laundry Service

We offer laundry services. Please fill in the laundry list found in your room and place the items in the laundry basket provide. Your room steward will collect them. Laundry will usually be returned to you within 12 hours.

Lunch Boxes

If you would like to have a picnic breakfast/lunch, please inform the front desk before 1930hrs on the day prior to your outing.

Meals

All meals are served in our dining room at the following times.

Breakfast: 06.00 – 09.30 hours
Lunch: 12.45 – 14.30 hours
Afternoon Tea/Coffee: 15.30 – 16.00 hours
Dinner: 19.30 – 21.30 hours

We can also cater for

  • Bush Breakfasts
  • Sundowners
  • Pool side Barbeques
  • Bush Dinners

Bar

Please come and relax in the main bar and unwind with a ‘Dawa’ (medicine in Swahili!) or another cocktail or beverage of your choice.

All soft drinks, beer, wine, spirits, champagne and liquors will be charged to your room/tent and your bills will be prepared prior to your departure.

Special Occasions

Celebrating a birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion? With a little advance notice, we can arrange for a private dinner, birthday cake or even a sundowner. Please inquire at the reception for further information.

Valuables (Safe Deposit)

The gift shop sells locaYou can leave your valuables at the reception for safekeeping free of charge. You will be given a receipt and the package will be kept in the safe. It can only be recovered by producing the receipt.

Water Conservation

Water is Africa’s most precious resource. Please help us conserve it. Washing towels consumes vast quantities of water and washing powder pollutes. Please help us by deciding the following;

  • If you want your towel washed, please leave it on the floor.
  • If you want to use it again, hang it on the rail.
